OBITUARY: Philip L. Luthi
Philip L. Luthi, 70, Tecumseh, MO, died Sat., Sept. 12, 2009, at Ozark Medical Center. He was born Aug. 14, 1939, at Miltonvale, KS, the son of Frank M. and Hazel F. (Bisel) Luthi. He graduated from Ozawkie High School in 1957. Phil retired from Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co. in 1988. He had also been a farmer/stockman in the Delia Community. Phil was married to Charlotte Huggins. They were divorced. He was married to Willa J. Martin on Oct. 31, 1975, at Holton, KS. She survives. Also surviving are 2 sons: Terry Luthi of Emporia and Barry Luthi of Topeka; a step-daughter: Melissa Delzeit of Troy; his mother: Hazel Luthi of Topeka; 4 brothers: Frank, Jr., Francis, and Warren Luthi all of Topeka and Duane Luthi of Zeypherhills, FL; 9 grandchildren; and a great-grandson. He was preceded in death by his father; a brother, Loren;a son, Jerry; and a granddaughter, Amanda. Graveside services will be at 10:00 AM, Tues., Sept. 15, 2009, at Walnut Hill Cemetery, Grove, KS. Phil will lie in state after 5:00 PM, Mon., at Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, 245 NW Independence, Topeka.
