Philip D. Knapp, 65, of Hoyt, passed away Thursday, January 23, 2014.
Philip was born December 30, 1948, in Dodge City, son of Dean and Eleanor Knapp. He graduated from Dodge City High School and the University of Kansas with his master's degree in Psychology.
Philip married Victoria Durr on July 3, 1967.
He retired from the State of Kansas after 30 years of service in juvenile corrections.
Philip enjoyed reading, traveling and working on his tractor.
He is survived by his wife, Victoria, daughters, Cymantha Colby, Dawn Knapp, and Mitzi Knapp, three grandsons, one granddaughter, one great-grandson and three great-granddaughters.
A family gathering will be held on Thursday, January 30, 2014 from 2pm to 6pm, at Philip and Victoria's Ponderosa / Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Midland Care, 200 SW Frazier Circle, Topeka, Kansas 66606.
Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
