Philip R. Black

Philip R. Black, 68, of Topeka passed away on Thursday, November 1, 2018. He was born November 26, 1949 in Topeka the son of John H. and Harriet K. Cordon Black.   Philip lived at Meriden while attending school and graduated from high school there.   He was a custodian for Jostens Printing in Topeka for over 35 years before Jostens downsized in Topeka.   He loved horseback riding and helping kids through 4-H.   Phil was a devoted father and grandfather.   He will be missed by everyone who knew him.

He was married to Judy Skidmore on August 21, 1982 at the United Methodist Church in Atchison. Judy preceded him in death on May 7, 2014.

Phil is survived by his children, Rachel Bradley; sons, Shawn Black and Brock Black; four grandchildren, Jonathan, Conner, Tucker and Lucas; brothers, Harlan and Harley Black of Topeka.

Mr. Black was cremated, the family received friends on November 5 ^th at Davidson Funeral Home.  Inurnment services will be held 11:00 am on Friday, November 30th at Miller Cemetery north of Everest, Kansas.   Memorial contributions may be sent to the Shawnee County Extension Education Foundation Activity Fund in care Davidson Funeral Home, 1035 N.
