OBITUARY: Penny G. Johnson
Penny G. Johnson, 53, Topeka, died Sat., April 14, 2007, at Stormont-Vail Hospital. She was born March 6, 1954, at Emporia, the daughter of Ralph K. and Doris I. (Sharri) Holdeman.
Penny was a registered nurse and last worked at the Women's Prison and Shawnee County Jail. She was a former member of Grace United Methodist Church (Emporia) and currently attended Crestview United Methodist Church. She was a Past Honored Queen of Bethel # 4, International Order of Job's Daughters (Emporia); Past Matron of Miriam Chapter # 14, OES (Emporia); and Past Matron of Beulah Chapter # 34, OES.
Penny was married to Tom G. Johnson on May 14, 1995, at Emporia. He survives of the home. Surviving in addition to Tom are 4 brothers: Reuben K. Holdeman of Wichita, Forrest Holdeman of Lansing, Richard Holdeman of Ochelata, OK, and John Holdeman of Phoenix, AZ.
Memorial services will be at 10:30 AM, Friday, April 20, 2007, at Crestview United Methodist Church followed by Eastern Star Services conducted by Beulah Chapter # 34, OES. Interment of cremains will be in Penwell-Gabel Cemetery, 3616 SW Sixth. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 8:30 PM Thursday at Crestview United Methodist Church.
