Pearl Nadine "Missy" Brown, 69, passed away Wednesday, September 21, 2016, at Midland Hospice Care.
Pearl was born November 20, 1946, in Topeks, KS, to Walter and Ida Brown. She worked most of her life as a factory worker and as a housekeeper. Pearl enjoyed gardening and being outside, garage selling, working crossword and jigsaw puzzles. She was famous for her cooking but especially for her chicken and noodles. Above all, Pearl loved spending time with her family and especially her grandchildren.
She is survived by her three children, Patricia (Victor) Lloyd of Quenemo, KS, Michelle Anderson and Crystal Maike both of Alma, KS; eight grandchildren, Josh (Melissa) and Megan Lloyd, Paige (Ryan) Leonard, Zachary, Emily (Spencer), and Abigail Anderson, and Kyndal and Taryn Maike; four great-grandchildren, Taytum, Lilly, Tucker, and Treyton; four siblings, Leroy (Jan) Brown of Carbondale, KS, Carol Boten, Gary (Shirley) Brown and Mike (Barb) Brown all of Topeka, KS; and many nieces and nephews.
Pearl was preceded in death by her infant son, James Neill; parents; and brother, Larry Brown.
A funeral ceremony will be at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 28, 2016, at the Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, 245 NW Independence Ave, Topeka, KS 66608. Burial will follow at the Prairie Home Cemetery, Topeka. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, at the funeral home.
