Pearl Maxine Byler, 78, of Topeka, formerly of Meriden, passed away on Friday, January 8, 2021. She was born September 7, 1942 at Topeka the daughter of Terrance “Pete” and Wilma Ward Cox. Maxine was the youngest child and only daughter. She worked for USD 345 School District for over 26 years. She enjoyed going to the casino, out to eat and vacations visiting family and friends.
Maxine was married to Bill Byler on May 26, 1967.
She is survived by two daughters, Belinda Rosine and husband Craig, and Jan Johnson and husband Rick; son; William “David” Byler, Jr. and wife Chris of Rossville; her bonus child, Mike Mitchell of St. Cloud, MN; two brothers, Ray Cox and Terry Cox; along with many grandchildren and great grandchildren; and her best friend, Mary Escalante.
She was preceded in death by her husband William Byler, Sr.; her dog lucky; her grandson, Jerrid Rosine; stepdaughter, Jeanette Campbell; and two brothers, Robert Cox and Charles Cox.
Memorial services will be Saturday, January 16, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at the Half Day Cemetery near Elmont, north of Topeka. www.davidsonfuneral.com
