Paul William Smith, 32, of Topeka, passed away Tuesday, June 13, 2023. His legacy will carry on through his courteous donation to Midwest Transplant as an organ donor to bless five recipients and their families.
He was born April 30, 1991, in Topeka, Kansas, the son of Paul and Pam (Walter) Smith. He graduated from Seaman High School in 2009.
Paul was employed at Hill's Pet Nutrition. Through the years, he also worked for Berkshire Golf Course, Schendel Landscape, Target Distribution and many local hotels in the Topeka community as a front desk manager.
He was an avid outdoorsman and thoroughly enjoyed being on the golf course. Paul also enjoyed fishing, hunting, playing darts with his dad and listening to all kinds of music. He was a fan of the Chiefs, Royals and KU basketball teams. However, his favorite thing to do was spend time with his nephew, two nieces and beloved dog Chewy. He loved being an uncle and dog dad. His mom was always his biggest fan and her love for him was immeasurable.
He leaves behind his mother, Pam Smith; father, Paul (Angela) Smith; sister, Jessica (Russell) Beach; step brothers, David Miller, Eric (Rebecca) Miller and Blake Miller; one nephew, Lincoln Beach and two nieces, Lucy and Laila Beach; maternal grandmother, Wanda Walter; aunts and uncles, Robin (Kent) Deiter, Chris (Beth) Smith, Troy Smith and Brandy (Sean) Pekarek; and cousins, Travis, Chelsea, Brooke, Connor, Clay, Olivia P., Jack, Olivia D. and Adam. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, William Walter; paternal grandparents, Peter and Karen Smith and cousin, Christopher.
His family will greet relatives and friends from 10:00am-12:00pm on Friday, June 23, 2023, at Parker Price Funeral Home, 245 NW Independence Ave, Topeka, KS. A celebration of Paul's life will be held immediately after beginning at 12:00pm. Memorial contributions may be made to Helping Hands Humane Society, 5720 SW 21st St, Topeka, KS 66604.
