Paul Shackelford
Paul David Shackelford, 55, Topeka, died Sunday, Jan. 5, 2003, at a Kansas City, Kan., hospital.
Mr. Shackelford owned A-1 City Cab Co. in Lawrence, and he was a maintenance mechanic for FMC in Lawrence. He also was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War.
He married Janet S. Reynolds Willis on Feb. 2, 2000, in Miami, Okla. She survives.
Other survivors include a son, David Shackelford, Vandalia, Ohio; a daughter, Nicky Shackelford, Vandalia, Ohio; two stepsons, David Willis Jr. and Jonathan Willis, both of Lawrence; a stepdaughter, Stephanie Willis, Lawrence; three brothers, Lloyd Shackelford, Lawrence, Billy Trinkel, Kansas City, Kan., and Steve Trinkel, LaCygne; a sister, Kathy Fotovich, Riverside, Mo.; his stepfather, John Jensen, Kansas City, Kan.; and three grandchildren.
Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Friday at Parker-Price Mortuary Chapel. Mr. Shackelford will lie in state at the mortuary after 3 p.m. Thursday, where visitation will be form 7 to 8 p.m. Cremation will follow the services. Burial of cremains will be private.
