Paul Parkhurst

Paul E. Parkhurst, 46, passed away December 2, 2022.  He was born on December 28, 1975 the son of the late Charles Parkhurst and Nancy Meyer VanHoutan.  He was a lifelong Topeka resident.  Paul graduated from Seaman High School, Class of ’94.  Paul proudly served in the United States Marine Corps and was stationed at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba.

Paul, his brother Bobby and their father Charles built a small business that applied parking lot markings and striping.  A true entrepreneurial spirt, he has been self-employed for most of his working life.  Paul loved the outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman.

He is survived by his son, Cody E. Parkhurst;  mother, Nancy VanHoutan and step father Phil VanHoutan of Topeka; brother, Bobby Parkhurst of Topeka; Bobby’s sons, Paul’s nephews, Tyler and Riley Parkhurst;  He is also survived by a large extended family of aunts, uncles and cousins.

A memorial visitation will be held from 6-8 pm on Wednesday, December 7, 2022 at Davidson Funeral Home.  Private family inurnment will be at Rochester Cemetery.   Memorial contributions may be made to the Helping Hands Humane Society.   www.davidsonfuneral.com
