Patsy Calhoun

Patsy Ann Calhoun, 78, of Topeka passed away on Sunday, January 14, 2024 at Brewster Place.  She was born October 8, 1945 in Caldwell County, Missouri the daughter of William J. and Mary Bell Cox Simkins.   She was married to William Hamilton Calhoun on April 25, 1965 in Manhattan, Kansas.  Patsy worked at Blue Cross Blue Shield over 20 years before retiring.  After retiring, she babysat a great granddaughter, Lilah for four years.   She was a devoted mom and grandmother, and enjoyed her family very much.

She is survived by Wanda Dillner of Topeka, Kelli Slechta of Topeka, William Calhoun of Herrick, Illinois; six grandchildren, Tyler, Lee, Rachel, Ryan, Hanna and Shelton; and seven great grandkids, Mackenzie, Lilah, Emerson, Olivia, Braylen, Fritz and Fiona; and her sister, Carol Blenn of Westmoreland, Kansas.

Patsy was preceded in death by husband William Hamilton Calhoun, daughter, Rebecca Ann Calhoun, her parents, Willie J. Simkins and Mary B. Simkins; siblings, Helen, Gene, Annivieve, Genevieve, Donald, June, Ivan, Peggy and Dick.

Cremation is planned.  Private family inurnment will be held at the Hoyt Cemetery on a later date.   The family would like to thank Elara Hospice for all the care they provided.   www.davidsonfuneral.com
