Patricia “ Pat” Taylor was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She left this life on July 16, 2024.
She was born to John and Irene Clark in Parsons, KS on February 1, 1937.
She attended St. George High School where she would meet her future husband, Cliff Taylor. He precedes her in death. Upon graduation, Pat and Cliff grew apart while he was in the Army. Pat was fiercely independent and worked and lived on her own. She re-connected with Cliff when he returned from the Army and the two were married on December 8, 1963. A shared mischievous personality, especially with each other, paved the way for a happy and successful 59 years together.
Pat was a constant presence of warmth, strength and sharp wit. She had a passion for crafting, including scrapbooking, card making and any numerous crafts her grandchildren could think up. As a constant in their lives, she loved making memories with her grandchildren. Pat was a fixture at every school event and swim meet. She lovingly scrapbooked her life and the lives of her children and grandchildren. Those books are treasured greatly by her family and she passed that love of scrapbooking on to them. They will forever cherish her hand-crafted birthday cards.
Pat worked as a paraprofessional in the Seaman School District USD #345 until her retirement. She greatly enjoyed working with elementary age children. After retirement, she could be found with the “Coffee Ladies” every Tuesday morning at Brad’s Corner Café and frequenting Antique stores around Topeka.
She is survived by her two sons: David Taylor and Michael Taylor; her two grandchildren: Morgan Depine, her husband Riley Depine and Garrett Taylor, his wife Rachel Taylor and her sister Kay Gardner, her husband Danny Gardner.
She was preceded in death by her husband Cliff Taylor, her parents and three siblings.
Cremation is planned. Dual Celebration of Life for Patricia & Cliff will be at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 14, 2024.
