Patricia A. Mccoy

Patricia A. McCoy, 80, of Topeka passed away on Sunday, October 22, 2023.

She was born on February 19, 1943 in Wichita the daughter of Lester O. and Dorothy R. Pierce Davis.   She was raised in Topeka and graduated high school from Seaman High School.   She moved to Los Angeles, California and lived out there for 20 years.  She returned to Topeka.  She worked as secretary at a Topeka law firm and later as the secretary at the Shawnee County Youth Center.  She was a para for USD 501 for 15 years.

Pat liked to walk at Lake Shawnee, play bingo, and go to the Prairie Band Casino.  Pat would go to Shawn’s boxing matches and film them so she could watch them again later.   Her favorite TV show was Blue Bloods.

She was married to Don McCoy.  He preceded her in death.

She is survived by her son, Shawn Stewart; grandson, Michael John Anderson in Kentucky; and five great grandkids.

Pat was preceded in death by her daughter, Celeste Hund; sister, Marlene Robinson; brothers, Larry Davis and Roy Davis, and her parents.

Cremation is planned.  Inurnment will be held in Memorial Park Cemetery.
