Patricia Callaway

April 7, 1937 — November 22, 2022

Patricia Joan Jacobs Callaway passed on November 22, 2022.   Patricia was born on April 7, 1937 at Herington, Kansas to Paul O. and Erma L. Jacobs.   She was married to Donald L. Callaway on December 20, 1959.   To this union three children were born, Sherry, Roxanne and Don.

Patricia and Donald served as foster parents and later opened a day care in their home for over 15 years.  Patricia later was employed for over 10 years as a housekeeper in a local convalescent home.

Patricia faithfully served as a homemaker and mother.  She enjoyed working puzzles, reading the bible and spoiling her puppy Sugar.

Patricia was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Erma Jacobs; two brothers, Robert Jacobs and Paul Jacobs and one sister, Charlotte Burgen.

Patricia is survived by her husband, Donald Callaway of the home; children, Sherry Dawn Chapman and husband Charles of Topeka, Roxanne Lynn Webster and husband Thomas of Topeka, Don D. Callaway and his wife Jenifer of Rose Hill Kansas.  She is also survived by Carol Grimm and husband Fred; 10 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held for Patricia at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, November 29, 2022 at Davidson Funeral Home.   Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery in Topeka.  The family will receive friends beginning at 12:00 pm on Tuesday at the funeral home.   Memorial contribution may be made to the Church of God Holiness, Home Missions, 78047 Metcalf, Overland Park, Kansas 66204.  To leave the family a message, please visit www.davidsonfuneral.com Serivices will be live streamed at the scheduled service time.
