Elaine Ratcliff

Elaine Ratcliff, 65, of Topeka passed away on Sunday, May 26, 2019 at her home in Carbondale, Kansas.   She was born February 2, 1952 at Wheaton, Missouri the daughter of Jess and Clydene Kaster Lemons.  Elaine received her bachelor’s degree from the Alaska Computer Institute.   She was the senior operator in the call center at the Topeka Veterans Administration Hospital.  She attended Heritage Country Church south of Carbondale.  Elaine loved gardening, raising vegetables and growing lots of beautiful flowers.   She enjoyed scratch-off lottery tickets, and making quilted blankets.

She was married to Ron Regester on October 26, 1984 in Anchorage, Alaska. He survives at their home in Carbondale.

Along with Ron, survivors include her children, Tammi Zeigler and husband Jeff in Pennsylvania, Steve Garman and wife Amanda of Concordia, Kansas, and Tom Ratcliff and wife Shay of Carbondale.  She is survived by her siblings, Steve, Bob, Bill, Ruby and LaVerne.  Five grandchildren survive, which include Rico and Shaolin.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, May 31 ^st at Heritage Country Church. Interment will follow at the Carbondale Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Heritage Country Church.
