Orie Wall

Orie E. Wall, 81, of Topeka, passed away on December 1, 2011 at a Topeka hospital. He was born May 3, 1930 in Topeka, the youngest son of Ora E. and Flossie (Dillon) Wall. He was employed at the Topeka Police Department for 27 years, retiring in 1987 with the rank of Captain. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed camping, fishing and hunting. Orie married Patsy Filkins on December 21, 1952. She survives. Other survivors included sons, Orie (Kathleen) Wall, Jr., Overland Park, Mark Wall, Rancho Mirage, CA; and grandson, Alex Wall, Shawnee. Cremation is planned. A visitation will be held at Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, 245 NW Independence, Topeka, Kansas from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 4, 2011. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association.
