Olive "Zoe" Swagerty, 84, of Topeka, passed away Monday, July 11, 2016.

She was born July 20, 1931 in Russell, Kansas, the daughter of Bernie William and Winnivere Grace (Button) Wright. She was a 1949 graduate of Seaman High School.

Zoe was employed by Western Hill Veterinary Hospital in Topeka.

She volunteered at St. Francis Hospital for 12 years.

Zoe married Robert Clayton Swagerty in 1967 in California. He preceded her in death on February 9, 2001. Survivors include four children, Cindy Porter, Douglas, WY, Julie (Greg) Allen, Dan Hutchinson, and David (Tracy) Hutchinson, all of Topeka; three step-children, Lorri Huesers, Topeka and Bill Swagerty, San Jose, CA ; 12 grandchildren, Stephanie, Alan, Jennifer, Jacob, Bryce, Weston, Erik, Bradley, Cameron, Danny, David, Scott, Arianna and Chelsea; 20 great-grandchildren; and an sister, Sue Neely, Topeka.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a step-son, Bruce Swagerty and two brothers, Rex and Max Wright.

A graveside service will be 10 a.m., Friday, July 15, 2016 at the Rochester Cemetery, Topeka.
