Norman W. Steele, 95, of Topeka, passed away Friday, July 30, 2010.
Norman was born February 28, 1915 in Maple Hill, KS; son of Lloyd B. and Nettie (Lemon) Steele. He worked at Beech Aircraft for over 25 years, retiring as a supervisor. Norman was also a successful cattle rancher in Leon, KS.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two wives, Josephene Biglow and Alice Clara McGonagle, stepson, Rodney McGonagle and seven brothers and sisters.
Norman is survived by his brother and sisters, Edna (Doug) Snook, Ethel (Earlie) Klass, Ruby Blossom, Wanda Godlove and Carl (Beverly) Steele, two grandchildren, Bruce and Brian McGonagle and numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, August 5, 2010 at Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, 245 NW Independence, Topeka, KS 66608. Burial will follow at Maple Hill Cemetery, Maple Hill. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
