Norma Jean Rogers

Norma Jean Rogers, age 85, of Topeka, passed away Sunday, January 19, 2020 at Kelly House in Topeka. Norma was born January 5, 1935 in Topeka, the daughter of Archibald and Delcie Marshall. She grew up in North Topeka, graduating from Topeka High School. She married Donald Eugene Rogers October 1, 1955 in Topeka. Don preceded her in death April 17, 2007. Norma worked at the north Kaw Valley Bank for many years. She was a long-time member of the Kansas Avenue United Methodist Church. Norma and Don enjoyed square dancing and round dancing with friends for many years. She also enjoyed scrapbooking. Norma is survived by a son, David (Cari) Rogers of Topeka; two grandsons, Daniel and Steven Rogers, two step granddaughters, Nikki Peters and Christina Fair; two great grandchildren, Cara and Alex Striplin; and a great-great grandson, Dakota Stalling.

Funeral services will be Friday, January 24, 2020 at 10:30 a.m. at the Davidson Funeral Home. She will lie in state Thursday afternoon from noon – 5:00 p.m. at the Davidson Funeral Home. Interment will be at the Rochester Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Kansas Avenue United Methodist Church, left in care of the Davidson Funeral Home. davidsonfuneral.com
