Norma Lee Jones

Norma L. Jones, age 90, of Topeka, passed away Tuesday, November 17, 2020 at Rolling Hills Care Home in Topeka.  Norma was born September 20, 1930 in Topeka the daughter of Clarence L. and Hattie (Fairbanks) Griggs.  She graduated from Topeka High School.  Norma married James “Jim” Jones on June 12, 1948, he preceded her in death on May 19, 2011.  Norma worked as a waitress at the Eastboro Pharmacy for many years before working for the Shawnee County Home Health Agency as a home health aide.  Norma enjoyed the casinos, playing bingo and watching the K.C. Royals and K.U. Jayhawks.  She was preceded in death by a daughter, Susan Henkensiefken. She is survived by a son, Gerald “Jerry” Jones; a daughter, Linda Stang; a sister, Doris Maxwell, all of Topeka; four grandchildren; six great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.

Graveside services will be Wednesday, November 25, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at the Topeka Cemetery.  davidsonfuneral.com.
