Norma Jean (Dreasher) Crites, 81, passed away on Sun., Nov. 21, 2010 at Presbyterian Manor. She was born on Jan. 29, 1929 in Kinsley, Kansas to Leslie and Martha Mack. She was an active volunteer at Papan's Landing and a member of Topeka Bowl North. She loved to garden, play cards, fish, country dance and play marbles.
She is survived by her children, Frances (Elmer) Eckhoff, Clara (John) Bailey, Margie (Leo) Stich, Debbie (Randy) Meggison, Mike (Mary) Dreasher, Rex Dreasher all of Topeka, Bill (Cat) Dreasher of Bossier City, LA, and Rick (Libby) Dreasher of Hoyt; 15 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Clarence Dreasher in 1979, she later married Ray Crites and he passed away in 1985. She was also preceded in death by two sons, Melvin and Edward, a granddaughter Melanie and two great great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. on Sat., Nov. 27, 2010 at the Penwell-Gabel - Parker-Price Chapel. Burial will follow in the Rochester Cemetery. She will lie in state after noon on Friday at the funeral home where the family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Papan's Landing Senior Center, 619 NW Paramore St., Topeka, KS 66608.
