OBITUARY: Norine French Ruppert Perkins
Norine French Ruppert Perkins, 88, Topeka, died Tues., March 15, 2011. She was born Oct. 16, 1922, at Smithville, MO. She moved to Topeka, in 1955, where she was a bookkeeper / accountant for Kentucky Fried Chicken and Standard Plumbing. Norine was married to Wayne Ruppert, Jr. on Sept. 19, 1942, in Kansas City, MO. He preceded her in death on May 3, 1959. She was married to George W. Perkins on Aug. 17, 1960, in Topeka. He preceded her in death on Feb. 13, 1998. She was also preceded in death by a daughter: Norine Elaine Landis; and a sister and brother-in-law: Nina (Clifford) Brown. Surviving are a daughter: Tootie (Daniel) Miller of San Antonio, TX; a son: R.W. (Diane) Ruppert of Hoyt; 7 grandchildren; and many great and great-great-grandchildren. Memorial services will be at 10:00 AM, Sat., March 19, 2011, at Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, 245 NW Independence Ave., Topeka. Due to Norine's great love of animals memorial contributions may be made to Helping Hands Humane Society, 2625 NW Rochester Road, Topeka, KS 66617.
