Nina L. (Kirkwood) Wolford, 95, of Topeka, passed away Monday, August 25, 2014.
She was born October 20, 1918 in Elmont, Kansas, the daughter of Ray and Millie (Lawton) Kirkwood. She was a 1937 graduate of Silver Lake High School.
Nina married Kelon O. Wolford on June 20, 1940 in Perry, Kansas. He survives. Other survivors include a son, Terry Wolford, Brenda Kuder, Ottawa, KS; two sisters, Doris Miles, Topeka and Frances Ferguson, Oklahoma City, OK; and two brothers, Dale and Bob Kirkwood, both of Topeka.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Dee Kirkwood.
The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m., Friday, August 29, 2014 at the Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, 245 NW Independence Ave, Topeka, to go in procession for a graveside service at Prairie Home Cemetery, Topeka.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Elmont United Methodist Church, 6635 NW Church Lane, Topeka, KS 66617.
