Naoma Crump, 83, of Topeka, passed away Tuesday, December 17, 2013.
She was born October 13, 1930 in Topeka, the daughter of Charles and Ruth (Gish) Moss. She was a graduate of Topeka High School.
Mrs. Crump was employed by Ohse Meats in Topeka for 22 years before retiring.
Naoma married Donald Crump on July 12, 1962 in Lyndon, KS. He preceded her in death on January 29, 2005. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Isabelle Urban. Survivors include five children, Kenneth (Marylin) Bates, Berryton, Carol Parker, Pace, FL, Debora (Chic) Childress, Susan (Arnell) Miles, St. Louis, MO, Kathryn (Robert) Sorce, Poughkeepsie, NY; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and a sister, Esther Piper, Denver, CO.
A graveside service will be 11 a.m., Thursday, December 19, 2013 at Topeka Cemetery. Naoma will lie in state after 3 p.m., Wednesday at the Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, 245 NW Independence Ave, Topeka, where the family will receive friends from 6-7 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Battered Women's Task Force, 225 SW 12th St, Topeka, KS 66612.
