Nancy G. Urban

Nancy G. Urban, age 82, of Carbondale, passed away Monday, September 14, 2020 at Brookside Manor in Overbrook, KS.  Nancy was born August 14, 1938 in Warren, Arkansas the daughter of Lance and Becky (Houston) Mack.  She graduated from Hayden High School in Topeka, KS.  Nancy married Cecil Urban April 8, 1961, he preceded her in death in 2005.  Nancy and Cecil lived and raised their family in rural Overbrook.  Nancy worked at Brewster Place for many years.  Nancy was a member of the St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Scranton, KS.  She is survived by two sons, Jacob (Sharon) Urban and Cecil John (Renee) Urban, both of Carbondale; four daughters, Anna (Michael) Ard of Carbondale, Connie Jo Penner of Mansfield, Pennsylvania, Tina (John) Haid of Meriden, KS and Kathy (Colin) Adams of Carbondale; a brother, Joe (Cathy) Mack of Topeka; a sister, Bridget Mack of Wichita, KS; 17 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren.

Graveside services will be Tuesday, September 22, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at the Mt. Calvary Catholic Cemetery south of Scranton.  She will lie in state Monday from noon – 5:00 p.m. at the Davidson Funeral Home.  Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Patrick’s Catholic Church and left in care of the Davidson Funeral Home.  davidsonfuneral.com.
