Nancy Louise Lutz, 67, Topeka, passed away Friday, October 11, 2019 at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota.
She was born July 14, 1952, in Topeka, Kansas, the daughter of Robert and Gloria (Jorgensen) Montgomery.
She graduated from Topeka High School in 1970.
Nancy was a secretary at the Kansas Board of Regents for 25 years, retiring in 1995.
She was a member of Topeka Bible Church. She served as secretary for Faith Works and Christians for Life for many years.
Nancy was known for her art and craft work. She enjoyed painting, scrapbooking, teddy bear making and collecting, and anything red. Nancy enjoyed antiquing and traveling. Her favorite places to visit were Yellowstone Park, Branson, Missouri (especially Sight and Sound Theatre), Alaska, and spending winters in Casa Grande, Arizona.
Nancy married Ronald Lutz on May 30, 1971 in Topeka, Kansas. He survives. Other survivors include sister-in-law, Sharon (Curtiss) Wright of Shreveport, LA; four brothers-in-law, Don (Rita) Lutz of Horseshoe Bay, TX; Gary Lutz of Golden, CO; Jeff (Anne) Lutz of Shreveport, LA and Brock (Jennifer) Lutz of Hillsdale, MI; over 50 nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews; several cousins; her church family at Topeka Bible Church and her many, many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Joseph R. Montgomery.
Visitation will begin at 9:30 a.m. followed by memorial services at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, November 9, 2019 at Topeka Bible Church. Burial of the urn will be at Memorial Park Cemetery, Topeka. As per Nancy's wishes, please dress casually.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Christians for Life, P.O. Box 3856, Topeka, KS 66604 and the Cardiac Department at Mayo Clinic, Rochester, MN.
