Nancy Nadine Gumb
Nancy Nadine Gumb, 69, of Topeka, died Friday, November 24, 2017, at the Medical Center of the Rockies, Loveland, CO. She was born December 12, 1947, in Denver, CO, the daughter of Ralph Wayne and Norma Jean (Smith) Beek.
Nancy was raised on the farm near Cheyenne Wells, CO, and attended the University of Colorado at Greeley. She worked in sales most of her life, and currently assisted with Eagle Tree Consulting. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Topeka and the U.S. Coast Guard Auxilliary.
She was married to Jackson Jay Gumb on July 7, 2001, at Lake Perry.
Surviving are her husband, Jack, of the home; children: Gene Van Horne, Jr. (Brita) of Arvada, CO, and Heidi Cassford (Ricky) of Lone Tree, CO; step-daughters: Misty Scott (Brent) of Sabetha, and Jaimie Clausing (Brandon) of Topeka; siblings: Melanie Steerman (Dan) of Kirk, CO, and Kelly Beek (Linda) of Pueblo, CO; and eleven grandchildren: Wesley Cassford, Steven Cassford, Alana Cassford, Lucy Cassford, Cory Clausing, Cameron Clausing, Chase Clausing, Garrett Scott, Anna Scott, Dalton Scott, and Gracie Scott.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM, Friday, December 1, 2017, at First United Methodist Church's Klasse Chapel, 600 SW Topeka Avenue, Topeka. Interment will be in Penwell-Gabel Cemetery and Mausoleum, 3616 SW Sixth Avenue, Topeka.
Nancy will lie state after 3:00 PM Thursday at the Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, 245 NW Independence Avenue, Topeka where the family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 PM.
