Myra Jane Shoreen Sodergren, age 78, passed away on July 27.
She was born August 20, 1937, in Los Angeles, California, the daughter of Maynard and Hazel (Anderson) Shoreen.
Myra attended John Marshall High School in Los Angeles and Bethany College in Lindsborg, KS.
She was an active member of Trinity Lutheran Church.
She was married to Charles Duane Sodergren for nearly sixty years. He survives. Other survivors include children, Janice Greenlee (Rick), Jane Lewis (Curt), Steve Sodergren (Jenny), Janeen Horton (Bob); grandchildren, Brett Henry (Janelle), Brooke Ralph (David), Erin Lewis, Heather Klamm (Josh), Breanna Lewis, Sydney Cochran (Tim), Joe Sodergren, Andrea Sodergren, Audrey Horton, Trey Horton; great-grandchildren, Jackston, Hudson, Ella, Adeline; sister-in-law, Barbara Apps; and nieces, nephews, and cousins in California.
She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Marion Hanson.
The funeral service will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, July 30, 2016 at the Trinity Lutheran Church, 731 SW Buchanan, Topeka, KS 66606. Interment will follow at the Penwell-Gabel Cemetery, Topeka.
Myra will lie in state after 3 p.m., Friday at the Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, 245 NW Independence Ave, Topeka, where the family will receive friends from 7-8 p.m.
