Mosie Harvey Marlow, 91, of Topeka, passed away Monday, October 15, 2012.
He was born June 18, 1921 in Wilkes County, NC, the son of Carl Edgar and Sarah (Viney) Marlow. He served in the U.S. Army Air Force during WW II.
Mr. Marlow was employed by Ohse Meat Company for 20 years, retiring in 1980.
He was a member of Highland Park Baptist Church, Past President of Good Neighbors, Chapter and State Past President of American War Dads and volunteered for Meals On Wheels for 20 years.
Mosie married Della Marie Stockwell on April 8, 1946 in Topeka. She survives. Other survivors include children, Duane (Sharon) Marlow, Highland, CA, David (Marla) Marlow, Topeka, James Marlow, Topeka, Jeanie (Dale) Logemann, Bancroft, NE, Mary Grossenkemper, Goodyear, AZ and Sarah Cottrell, Lawrence, KS; 14 grandchildren; and 27 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Nellie Moore and three brothers, Ernest, Vertie and Berlie Marlow.
Mr. Marlow was cremated. A memorial ceremony will be at 11 a.m., Saturday, October 20, 2012 at the Highland Park Baptist Church, 820 S.E. 29th St. Topeka, KS 66605. The family will receive friends an hour prior to the ceremony. Memorial contributions may be made to the Highland Park Baptist Church or to the American Heart Association. Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel in Topeka is assisting the family.
