OBITUARY: Mrs. Minta Mae Munro
Mrs. Minta Mae Munro, 90, Topeka, KS died Wed., June 1, 2005 at The Topeka Presbyterian Manor of heart failure. She was born October 27, 1914 at Paonia, CO the daughter of Frank and Mabel (Hall) Miller. She moved with her parents and sibilings in 1915 from Colorado to Oklahoma via covered wagon. She grew up in the Vining Community of Jet, OK. She attened Oklahoma A & M College.
She was a missionary in Egypt for 11 years, and in Paraguay, South America for 36 years until September, 1989. She had lived in Topeka, KS since her retirement.
She is survived by her brother, Harold Miller, Jet, OK; 2 sisters: Edith Keihler, Helena, OK and Ella Blanche Stark of Midland, MI and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alexander Munro; her parents; 2 brothers: Wallace Miller and Russell Miller, and a half-sister: Nellie Wesley.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m., Sat., June 4, 2005 at Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, 245 NW. Independence. Interment will be in Timber Lake Cemetery, Helena, OK. Mrs. Munro will lie in state after 3:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to EGE Ministries, Paraguayan Fund, 4535 Wadsworth Blvd.; Wheat Ridge, CO 80033.
