OBITUARY: Minnie Marie Caulk
Minnie Marie Caulk, 102, formerly of Auburn, went to be with her Lord on Jan. 1, 2010, at Aldersgate Village. She was born May 1, 1907, in Atchison County, to Fred and Katie Geer. Her early school days were in Hoisington and she graduated from Auburn High School in 1924. Marie married Robert LeRoy Caulk on Dec. 22, 1934, in Topeka. He preceded her in death on Sept 10, 1992. She is survived by her daughters: Roberta (Clarence) Smith, Dona Caulk, and Laura Brown, all of Topeka; grandchildren: Steve (Mary) Shipps, Mike (Angela) Chandler, Scott (Mary) Smith, Danny (Becky) Smith, Chris Greywolf, and Heather (Forrest) Jackson; 16 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM, Mon., Jan. 4, 2010, at Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, 245 NW Independence Ave. Interment in West Lawn Memorial Gardens. Minnie Marie will lie in state after 1:00 PM, Sun., at the funeral chapel where the family will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:30 PM. Memorial contributions may be made to Helping Hands Humane Society, 2625 NW Rochester Road, Topeka, KS 66617 or American Diabetes Assoc., 837 South Hillside, Wichita, KS 67211.
