Milton James "Jim" Schneider
HOLTON - Milton James "Jim" Schneider, 68, Holton, died Wednesday, July 7, 2004, at a Topeka hospital. Mr. Schneider owned and operated Allied Paint since 1969. He was born Aug. 26, 1935, in St. Louis, the son of William and Katherine Anna Forst Schneider. He moved to Topeka in 1969 with his wife and five children. Mr. Schneider was an automobile enthusiast. One of his greatest enjoyments were his grandchildren and attending their activities. He will be sadly missed by family and loved ones. He found enjoyment at the casinos later in life. He married "Sue" Robbin on Oct. 22, 1955, in St. Louis. His wife and best friend of 48 years survives. Other survivors include two daughters, Susan R. Smith, Topeka, and Leslie Noller, Hoyt; two sons, Michael Schneider and David Schneider, both of Topeka; and grandchildren, Danielle, Matthew, Sam, Sara, Garrett, Hannah, John and Ben. Mr. Schneider was preceded in death by a daughter, Linda Ma rie Schneider, on March 9, 1978. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Topeka. Burial will be in Penwell-Gabel's Memorial Park Cemetery in Topeka. Mr. Schneider will lie in state after 10 a.m. Sunday at Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel in North Topeka, where the family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 837 S.
