Milo Schultes

Mr. Milo "Mike" Leroy Schultes, 86, Topeka, passed away, Sat., July 14, 2007 at Lexington Park Nursing Facility. He was born in Randolph, KS, Dec. 21, 1920, the son of Edward and Ida (Sands) Schultes.

Mike worked for and was general manager of Heumann Dental Laboratory from 1941-1982, retiring after 41 years of service. He was a decorated WWII Veteran in the Pacific Theatre for 4 years. He was also a member of VFW Post 1650.

He was preceded in death by the love of his life, Lois R. Gooden. They were married on July 19, 1947.

He is survived by one son, Dr. Michael and wife Regina Schultes and two grandchildren, Patrick and Adriene Schultes.

He has four brothers, Merlin; Lyman; Raymond and Leon Schultes and three sisters, Virggie Cook; Jo Turney and Dot Johnson.

Graveside Services will be at 1:00 PM, Tuesday, July 17, 2007 at Maple Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday, July 16th from 6:00 to 8:00 PM, at Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, 245 NW Independence, Topeka. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Silver Lake Alumni Scholarship in c/o Silver Lake Bank, 209 Railroad, Silver Lake, KS 66539.
