OBITUARY: Millie E. Hamilton Schutter
Millie E. Hamilton Schutter, 95, Topeka, passed away Sun., June 6, 2010. She was born Feb. 27, 1916, in Michigan Valley, Osage County, Kansas, the daughter of Chris E. and Freida J. (Swanson) Peterson. Millie married Harley L. Hamilton who passed away in 1961. She later married Bill Schutter, Sr. who died in 1984. Millie was a long time employee of Mr. Bart's pet store in Topeka. She is survived by two children: Nancy J. Hamilton of Gardner and Kenneth L. Hamilton and wife, Cathy, of Topeka; grandchildren: Kent Hamilton and Chrisy Khatib and families; two great-grandchildren; a sister: Ethel Siecgrist of Carbondale; nieces and nephews. Millie was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Pearl Wegner. Graveside services will be at 1:30 PM, Thurs., June 10, 2010, at Penwell-Gabel Cemetery, 3616 SW Sixth, Topeka. Millie will lie in state after 3:00 PM, Thurs., at Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, 245 NW Independence Ave., where the family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8:00 PM. In lieu of flowers,the family requests contributions be made to your favorite charity.
