Mildred B. (Flott) Morris, 90, Topeka, passed away on Friday, April 18, 2008 at Stormont-Vail Hospital.
Millie was born on Oct. 23, 1917, in Topeka, KS, the daughter of Ray and Ellen (Hertzler) Joy.
Millie married, Orville (Dutch) F. Flott on May 1, 1936, in Topeka. He preceded her in death in 1963.
She later married, Tony W. Morris on May 2, 1969, in Holton. He preceded her in death in 1989.
Millie worked as an engraver for Asay's Sportsman's Store, retiring after 20 years of service.
She sewed for many years, more recently making stuffed animals for the children's ward at Stormont-Vail and St. Francis Hospitals.
Millie is survived by her daughter, Ann Stover of Miami, OK; three grandchildren: Debbie, Gary Lee and Ivan; four great grandchildren: Billy, Mike, Tonya and Sam; four great-great grandchildren, all in the surrounding area; two brothers: George and Melton and many, many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two brothers: Ronald and Sherman and two sisters: Olive and Goldie.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM, Monday, April 21, 2008 at Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, 245 NW Independence. Interment will follow in Mount Hope Cemetery. Millie will lie in state after 2:00 PM, Sunday at the funeral home where family will greet friends from 6:00-8:00 PM.
