Michael Todd Wright

Michael Todd Wright, 51, of Ozawkie, passed away Sunday, August 4, 2019.

He was born September 13, 1967, in Bethany, Missouri, the son of James and Marjory (Crowe) Wright. He attended Gallatin High School in Gallatin, MO. After high school he attended Southeast Community College in Milford, NE where he received his Associate Degree in Applied Engineering. He did factory work until 2000. Mike then worked for Gary Hardy Dodge, Briggs Dodge, Ed Bozarth Chevrolet, Laird Noller in Lawrence. In 2017 he opened his independent used car dealership, Wright Autos LLC.

Mike enjoyed golfing, boating anywhere he could, shooting and collecting firearms and was a car and Jeep enthusiast. He was a dedicated Chiefs fan and devoted his Sundays to watching football. Mike and Kim traveled often to country music concerts. He was an avid movie and music guru, he could quote any movie and tell you the artist of any song.

Michael married Kimberly Wright on August 7, 2004 in Topeka. Survivors include his wife, Kimberly Wright; son, Joseph Michael Wright and daughter-in-law Shauna Woodward; grandchildren, Tate Michael Wright, Easton James Wright and Shaylynn Jackson; sister, Debbie (Billy Bob) Breeden; John (Ina) Wright; sister, Heather (Mike) McNeely; father-in-law, Phillip Dodds and mother-in-law, Carolyn Dodds; sister-in-law, Megan (Cory) Gabor; and 12 nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, James Wright and mother, Marjory (Crowe) Wright.

Memorial services will be at 5:00pm, Saturday, August 10, 2019 at Parker-Price Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 245 Independence Ave., Topeka. A visitation will be held one hour before services.

Memorial contributions to offset funeral expenses and for a scholarship fund for Mike's grandchildren may be sent to the funeral home and addressed to Kimberly Wright.
