Merry D. Bocquin

October 10, 1950 — July 23, 2019

Merry Dee Moore Bocquin would like you to know that she received an offer that she could not refuse on Tuesday July 23rd, 2019. It was an offer for a joyous reunion with her parents Clarence Earl and Norma Lucille (Cripps) Moore, her sister Barbara and brothers Jerry and Larry. She will be spending eternity with her family in the company of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Merry was born on October 10, 1950 to Clarence and Norma. She met the love of her life, Steve ("Boc") Bocquin and they were married on March 3, 1972; they have been married 47 years. She wanted everyone to know what an awesome and caring man he is; they married for better or worse, and he cared for her as she fought ALS (Lou Gehrig's Disease) for the last three years. Merry and Boc raised two sons, which survive with their families: Casey, his wife Kierston and their four daughters Quincy, Avery, Annalise and Brinley; and Gabe, his wife Karlee and their sons Bronsen, Hendrix and Rayce. Merry is also survived by her sister Sherry (Moore) Lynn and various nieces and nephews.

Merry was fortunate to be able to stay at home to raise her boys and help care for her mother in the early years of marriage. When she returned to the workforce, she worked in the child support field for 30 years. She retired in June 2017 and was diagnosed with ALS in July 2017. She loved to travel, ride the Harley motorcycle with Boc, watch grandkids' sporting events, and to have cook outs at home with her family.

Merry says she was blessed with an awesome family that enriched her life and she loved nothing more than to have a house full of family and friends. We are grateful she is no longer suffering from ALS. She will live on in our memories of her orneriness, sense of humor, brutal honesty, and love of and loyalty to family.

Funeral services will be 10am Saturday, July 27, 2019 at Northland Christian Church, 3102 North Topeka Blvd, Topeka. Interment will follow at Rochester Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-8pm Friday, July 26, 2019 at the church.

Following Merry's wishes, no flowers have been requested. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to ALS Association Mid America Chapter, 6950 Squibb Road Mission, KS 66202 or Midland Care, 200 SW Frazier Cir, Topeka, KS 66606
