Maxwell "Max" Filby

Maxwell "Max" Sidney Filby, 17, of Lawrence, passed away on May 13, 2022.

He was born on July 2, 2004 to Shawn and Michelle (Acuna) Filby in Topeka, KS.

Max loved music. He enjoyed creating his own songs and lyrics. Max knew that he was going to make it big one day in the music industry. In his free time he loved to skateboard with his brother, sister, and cousins. Max's family was very important to him. He always wanted to be around them and be a part of their life. Everyone will miss his goofy personality, jokes, and sense of humor. His life ended too soon.

Max is survived by his Mother, Michelle Filby; Siblings, Lance Olsson, Tyler Corber, Ragan Filby, Ian Filby, Emma Oliver, and Nicholas Oliver; Maternal Grandfather, David Acuna, Paternal Grandmother, Sharon Beck, Paternal Step Grandmother, Janet Filby, Paternal Uncle, Shayne (Robin) Filby, Maternal Step Grandmother, Nancy Acuna; Nephew, Link Olsson; Nieces, Harmony and Heaven Corber; and Cousins, Julie Copeland and Nancy Turner; and dozens of cousins and extended family.

He was preceded in death by his Father, Shawn Filby; Maternal Grandmother, Peggy Beidler; Paternal Grandfather, Henry Filby; Paternal Step Grandfather, Thomas Beck; Nephew, Sora Olsson; and Fanny and Pa.

Visitation will be held Sunday, May 22, 2022, 11:00 am at Parker-Price Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, Topeka, Kansas. Funeral services will follow starting at 1:00 pm. Cremation will follow.
