Maxine Yager

Maxine Yager, 70, of rural Topeka, passed away on Friday, August 7, 2020.
Maxine was born June 23, 1950 in Topeka the daughter of John and Marie Atwood Yager. Maxine grew up at Auburn and graduated from Washburn Rural High School. She attended Washburn University and received her Bachelor of Science degree in nursing. Maxine went on to have a long career as a nurse at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Topeka for over 30 years. She especially enjoyed working in the Health Care for the Homeless Department at the VA. Maxine was a supporter of the Topeka Rescue Mission. She and Stan showed and bred Japanese Chins and she enjoyed playing bridge.
Survivors include her companion, Stan Blanchard of Rural Overbrook.
