Mary L. Powell, 85, Topeka, passed away Friday, April 18, 2008, at her residence.
She was born July 20, 1922, in Topeka, the daughter of Jess E. and Esther M. Bordorf Reynolds.
Mary graduated from Miller High School in Miller, KS. She worked in housekeeping for the Menninger Foundation for 15 years. She was a former member of Moose Lodge #555.
She married Charles E. Powell on March 9, 1940, in Oskaloosa, KS. He preceded her in death on August 16, 1991.
She is also preceded in death by a daughter, Billie J. Ditch and a brother, Joseph Reynolds.
She is survived by two daughters, Linda K. Stumbaugh, Minot, ND; Karen A. Jensen, Salinas, CA; a son, Charles E. Powell, Jr., Topeka; twelve grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.
Mary's wishes were to be cremated and have a private memorial service at a later date.
