Mary Pauline "Polly" White
Mary Pauline "Polly" White, 72, Topeka died Wednesday, September 30, 2015, at Midland Hospice House. She was born June 11, 1943, at Auburn, the daughter of Carl Medford and Ruby Beatrice (Prichard) Armstrong.
Polly attended Seaman High School. She and her husband founded, owned and operated P & G Builders where she served as Vice-President and Secretary-Treasurer. Her family was the most important part of her life and she strived to be the best mother and grandmother in the world. Her family believes she achieved that goal.
She was married to Glenn LeRoy White on June 12, 1959, in Topeka. He survives.
Surviving in addition to her husband are a daughter: Jacqueline Routh (Chris) of Topeka; a son: Richard L. White (Jerri) of Meriden; a sister: Patricia Aben (Tim) of Wichita; three grandchildren: Cassandra Blackwell of Topeka, Grant White of Meriden, and Reagan White of Meriden; two step-grandchildren: Rheanna Kaufman of Tecumseh and Brent Routh of Topeka; and two step-great-grandchildren.
Polly was preceded in death by her parents; a brother and sister-in-law, Carl and Jean Armstrong; and a niece, Janice Desbien.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM, Saturday, October 3, 2015, at Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, 245 NW Independence Avenue, Topeka. Interment will be in Rochester Cemetery, 1200 NW Menninger Road, Topeka.
Polly will lie in state after 3:00 PM, Friday, at the funeral chapel where the family will receive friends from 7:00 to 8:00 PM.
