Mary Geraldine Orson
Mary Geraldine Orson, 82, Topeka, died Thursday, March 3, 2016, at her home. She was born March 23, 1933, in Topeka, the youngest of seven children born to Clyde Walton and Nora (McEwan) Hankey.
Mary attended Oakland Community Schools.
She was married to Robert Edwin Orson on June 24, 1950, in Topeka. He preceded her in death on August 7, 1997.
Surviving are a son: Frank Leo Orson of Topeka; two daughters: Vickie Sue Woodward (Jon) of Lawrence and Roberta Ann Orson of Topeka; three granddaughters: Kimberly Turner (Jeremy) of Baldwin City, Amanda Davis (Joshua) of Lawrence, and Ashley Woodward (Denzel Daniels) of Lawrence; and two great-grandsons: Heath Turner of Baldwin City and Demari Daniels of Lawrence.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM, Saturday, March 5, 2016, at Mount Hope Cemetery and Funeral Chapel, 4700 SW 17th Street, Topeka. Interment will follow in Mount Hope Cemetery.
Mary will lie in state from 9:00 to 10:00 AM, Saturday, at Mount Hope Cemetery and Funeral Chapel.
