Mary Lucille Barranco
Mary Lucille Barranco, 90, Topeka, died Sunday, February 16, 2014, at her home. She was born May 12, 1923, in Topeka, the daughter of Ricardo and Victoria (Lopez) Tostado.
She was married to Jesus Perez Barranco on December 29, 1956, in Topeka. He preceded her in death on July 10, 1982. She was also preceded in death by her parents; a brother: Tony Lardio (Sophie); and four sisters: Josephine Tostado (Marcilino), Christina Charveze (Jack), Delores Lira (Toribio), and Esther Sandifer (Delmar).
Surviving are a son: Al Barranco (Mary) of Topeka; a daughter: Cindy Mitchell (Chris) of Rossville; and grandchildren: Alisha Barranco-Hunt of Florida, and Jessica Barranco of Delaware, and Tara, Jade, and Kimber Mitchell.
The family would like to thank Doris Klamm for always being there.
Funeral services will be at 12:30 PM, Friday, February 21, 2014, at Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, 245 NW Independence Avenue. Interment in Mount Calvary Cemetery.
Mary will lie in state after 3:00 PM, Thursday, at the funeral chapel where the family will receive friends from 7:00 to 8:00 PM.
Memorial contributions may be made to Helping Hands Humane Society, 5720 SW 21st Street, Topeka, KS 66604.
