OBITUARY: Mary Emma Fargo
Mary Emma Fargo, 90, Topeka, died Sun., April 27, 2008, at Midland Hospice House. She was born June 17, 1917, at Manhattan, the daughter of Otto C. and Helen T. (Loehr) Anderson.
She had lived in Chanute, Arkansas City, and Emporia before moving back to Topeka in 1984. Mary was a member of Crestview United Methodist Church and Oakland Rebekah Lodge # 616.
She married Walter Glen "Bud" Fargo on June 4, 1934, in Holton. He preceded her in death on Jan. 11, 2004.
Survivors include a son: William O. "Bill" Fargo of Bedford, TX; 2 daughters: Linda Lou Donovan of Topeka, and Mary Ann Stout-Schneider of Carbondale; 9 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM, Wed., April 30, 2008, at Crestview United Methodist Church. Interment in Half-Day Cemetery, Elmont. Mary will lie in state after 3:00 PM, Tues., April 29, 2008, at Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, 245 NW Independence, Topeka, where the family will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:30 PM. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Crestview United Methodist Church, 2245 SW Eveningside Dr., Topeka, KS 66614-1355 or Midland Hospice, 200 SW Frazier Circle, Topeka, KS 66606-2800.
