Mary Ann Stever
Mary Ann Stever, 68, Topeka, died Thursday, Sept. 1, 2005 at St. Francis Hospital following a short illness.
She was born Nov. 12, 1936 on a farm near Lorton, Nebraska, the daughter of Albert and Zelma Mitzner Thiesfeld.
Mary Ann was a wonderful wife and mother who provided loving child care, retiring in 1997. She was a volunteer at the Multiple Sclerosis Society.
She married Gerard L. (Jerry) Stever on Feb. 11, 1956 in Nebraska City. He survives.
Other survivors include her daughter Julie Peter and husband, Robert, Ellinwood, KS; 2 sons, Brian Stever and wife, Maria, Topeka and Greg Stever and wife, Julie, McPherson; daughter, Lisa Stever, Topeka; brother, Dean Thiesfeld and wife, Eileen, Lncoln, NE; six grandchildren, Cody and Kelli McNorton and Jennifer, Shan, Kristine, and Kirstee Stever.
Cremation is planned. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 pm Saturday at Penwell-Gabel Parker Price Chapel.
The family will receive friends from 7:30-8:30 pm Friday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society, 5350 SW 17th, Topeka, 66604.
