Mary Ann MacKay
Mary Ann MacKay, 76, Topeka, KS, died May 26, 2013, at Midland Hospice House. She was born October 11, 1936, in Topeka the daughter of Frank M. and Gladys B. (Holtsclaw) Bills. She had attended Seaman Schools, Hayden High School, and graduated from Silver Lake High School.
She was a finance and accounting clerk for the U.S. Air Force at Luke Air Force Base in Glendale, AZ. She had owned a restaurant and donut shop in Flagstaff, AZ, before retiring.
Surviving are five sons: Dale Bills of Carencro, LA, Bobby (Kathy) Moreno of Phoenix, AZ, Scott (Shay) Moreno of Avondale, AZ, Tim Moreno of Topeka, and James MacKay of Sumner, ME; six grandchildren: Michael Moreno, Daniel Moreno, Anthony Benson, Robin Benson, Andrew Benson, and Joshua Moreno all of Arizona; one great-grandson: Austin Benson of Arizona; and three sisters: Lois Fortino of Bakersfield, CA, Alice Elliott of Gilbert, AZ, and Carol Ables of Topeka, KS.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM, Friday, May 31, 2013, at Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, 245 NW Independence Avenue, Topeka, KS. Interment in Mount Hope Cemetery, 4700 SW 17th Street, Topeka, KS. Mary Ann will lie in state after 3:00 PM, Thursday, at the funeral chapel where the family will receive friends 5:30 to 7:00 PM.
