Mary A. Adams, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, this world on October 4, 2024, in her hometown of Topeka, Kansas, at the age of 77. Born on May 2, 1947, in Topeka, she was a cherished member of her community, leaving behind a legacy filled with love and laughter.
Mary devoted much of her life to her career, primarily working for Josten's until the company closed and moved. She later found employment at Walmart, where her warm spirit and dedication made a positive impact on her coworkers and customers alike.
Beyond her professional life, Mary was an embodiment of kindness and love. She had an immense passion for animals, particularly cats and dogs, which was a reflection of her gentle nature. Her heart was particularly full when she spent time with her grandchildren, each moment cherished and filled with joy. Mary treasured family vacations and the simple pleasures of camping, creating lasting memories under the stars with those she loved most.
She is survived by her daughters, Susie (Scott) Lundblade and Cindy (Grady) Kirkpatrick; her son, David Adams; and her cherished grandchildren: Keith Adams, Ashley Kirkpatrick, Bethany Lundblade, Alex Kirkpatrick, and Cody Lundblade. Additionally, Mary took great joy in the lives of her four great-grandchildren, who brought light into her life.
Mary was also a loving sister to Marlene Norris, Steve Fienhage, and Susan Whittington, who will deeply miss her warm presence and loving spirit.
Mary is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Steve Adams, who passed away in September 2020, and her parents, Frank and Gladus (Patterson) Fienhage.
Her legacy will live on in the hearts of all those she touched throughout her life. Family and friends are invited to honor her memory at Parker-Price & Davidson in Topeka, Kansas, on October 9, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM. In this shared time, we will celebrate Mary’s remarkable life and the love she so freely gave.
