Marvin A. "Butch" Palmer, 83, Topeka, passed away Wednesday, June 26, 2019.
He was born December 15, 1935, in Topeka, Kansas, the son of Milton and Mabel (Johnson) Palmer. He graduated from Seaman High School. Butch was a US Army veteran. He was employed with Santa Fe Railroad, retiring as lead clerk after more than 43 years of service.
He was a member of the Moose Lodge in North Topeka and American Legion Post 400.
Survivors include two sisters, Darlene Pollom and Judy (Marvin) Schreiner, both of Topeka; three children, Kathryn Palmer (Ken Hastert), Topeka; Michael (Wendy) Palmer, Bloomington, IL; and Laurie Palmer, Topeka; six grandchildren; and five great-granddaughters.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. on Monday, July 1, 2019 at Parker-Price Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 245 NW Independence Ave, Topeka. Interment will follow at Rochester Cemetery. Visitation will held from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 30, 2019 at the funeral home.
