Marvin L. Tibbs, Sr.

Marvin L. Tibbs, Sr., of Topeka, went to be with the Lord on July 22, 2009. Family and faith were his lifelong interests. He was born January 4, 1931, in Silver Lake, KS. He was married to Opal J. Niles on January 28, 1953. She survives. Other survivors include: daughters, Debbie Gorton (Tim), Cindy Holle (Alan), Pat Shoemaker (Gary), Lois Dornbrook (Bob), and Helen Allensworth (Steve); sons, Marvin Tibbs, Jr. (Robin) and John Wyatt (Lori); and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 28, 2009 at Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, 245 NW Independence, Topeka, KS. Interment will be at Czech-Moravian Cemetery.
