OBITUARY: Marvin L. Birkenbaugh
Marvin L. Birkenbaugh, 87, Topeka, died Thurs., Sept. 8, 2011. He was born Nov. 17, 1923, in Kingman, the son of Charles F. and Belle (Dickerson) Birkenbaugh. In 1951, he moved to Minneola and worked at the KPL Compressor Station and retired in 1986. Marvin was married to Pauline McBurney on June 6, 1944. She preceded him in death on March 21, 1970. He was married to Billie Lix on Nov. 14, 1970. She preceded him in death on Feb. 12, 2003. Surviving are a son: Randy Birkenbaugh (Sheila) of Topeka; step-children: Greg Lix (Gina) of Wright and Teresa Muehlhausen (Glen) of Davey, NE; 6 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren. Interment of cremains will be at 1:00 PM, Fri., Sept. 16, 2011, in Walnut Hill Cemetery, Kingman.
