Marvin Chester (Dutch) Hundertfund, 82, Topeka, died Sunday, Dec. 12, 2004 at a local nursing home. He was born July 30, 1922 in Silver Lake, the son of Fred and Katie E. Rankin Hundertfund. Dutch served in the U.S. Army during World War II where he had been part of campaigns in Normandy, Northern France, Rhineland and Central Europe. He was a former member of Topeka North Post #400 of the American Legion. Dutch worked in construction for several years in the Topeka area. He enjoyed playing poker with his friends. He married Dorothy Helen O'Neill, July 1, 1968 in Topeka, KS she died Jan. 14, 1987. Dutch is survived by a host of family and friends. A graveside service and interment will be at 9:00 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 16, 2004 at Silver Lake Cemetery where military honors will be conducted by a U.S. Army Ft. Riley Funeral Detail. Dutch will lie in state from 2:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 15, 2004 at Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel in North Topeka.
